An opposition in Zi Wei Dou Shu links two palaces into one axis. Hua Ji in one palace therefore affects the palace across from it, even when that opposite palace looks clean by itself. The useful task is to locate the source of the blockage, identify where the consequence appears, and read the exchange between them.
Source and consequence are different roles
Hua Ji in a palace shows where pressure originates or becomes concentrated. The opposite palace shows the life area that must respond. This is why a person can experience trouble in work because of relationship demands, or money strain because inner anxiety drives spending. Treating only the visible end can miss the engine of the problem.
Three axes make the method practical
- Wealth Palace Hua Ji opposing Inner Life can tie cash-flow pressure to worry, security needs, or lifestyle. Budget action and emotional regulation may both be necessary.
- Career Palace Hua Ji opposing Spouse can show workload, role confusion, or professional reputation straining partnership. If the annual cycle enters Spouse, the relationship may demand a decision about the work arrangement.
- Travel Palace Hua Ji opposing Life can connect client trouble, relocation, or platform changes to confidence and personal direction. External terms may need renegotiation.
Support determines whether the line can flex
Hua Ke may provide explanation, documentation, or professional expertise. Hua Lu can supply resources, though it may still be delayed by Hua Ji. Mars or Bell Star may make the conflict faster and less forgiving. These are conditional patterns; no opposition guarantees loss or separation. Read actual finances, relationships, and work conditions before recommending action.
Chart-reading order
First locate Hua Ji. Second draw the exact opposite axis and name its two topics. Third determine which end initiates the pressure and which displays the consequence. Fourth inspect the supporting palaces and transformations for solutions. Fifth compare decade and annual timing. Give advice for the whole line—cash flow and stress, work and partnership, or environment and self—rather than one isolated palace.
